Terms of service

Who you are agreeing with

MeshMarkup is a 3D review tool online for designers. Using the service means accepting these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a studio, you are confirming you may bind it.

What the service does

You upload 3D models and share a link. People with that link can look at the model, leave notes pinned to it, reply, and — with the right permission — sign off a version. Reviewers need no account and are free on every plan.

Your account

Keep your sign-in to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. Seats are for people inside your studio who upload and reply, and are not to be shared between individuals.

Your work stays yours

You keep every right to the models, images and text you upload. You grant us only the narrow licence needed to run the service: to store your files, process them, and display them to the people you share a link with. Nothing else. We don’t use your work to train models, we don’t show it to anyone you haven’t shared it with, and we don’t use it in our own marketing without asking you first, in writing.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. If a model is your client’s, make sure your agreement with them allows you to put it here.

What you may not do

Don’t upload anything unlawful, or anything you don’t have the rights to. Don’t use the service to store or distribute malware. Don’t try to reach another studio’s data, probe the service for weaknesses without asking us first, or automate against it in a way that degrades it for other people. The API has its own limits; stay inside them.

If you find a security problem, email us before telling anyone else. We will not threaten you for reporting it in good faith.

Plans, payment and tax

Prices are shown on the pricing page and are in euros, excluding VAT where it applies. Paid plans start at Solo and renew automatically — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — until you cancel. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never handle card details.

Prices can change, but not for a period you have already paid for, and we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a change affects your renewal.

Cancelling, and what happens to your work

Cancel any time from Settings → Billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for; there is no partial refund for an unused part of a period, and no cancellation fee.

If a payment fails or you cancel, your studio moves to the Free plan and every model stays where it is. We don’t hold your work hostage over an expired card. Free-plan limits apply from then on, so some features stop rather than some files disappearing.

If you are a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on a new subscription. Ask and we will refund it.

Availability

We aim to keep the service up and we don’t promise a specific uptime figure, because there is no monitoring in place yet that could back one up. There will be maintenance, and occasionally there will be faults. When something breaks, the status page says so and an email follows if it lasted long enough to matter.

Ending it

You can delete your account yourself at any time, from Settings. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone, so export your data first — there is a button for that on the same page.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we are legally required to close. Except where the law or an abuse case prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to get your data out.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data where you had the means to export it. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your non-waivable rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

If we change them in a way that matters, we will email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. Carrying on using the service after that is acceptance; if you would rather not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of a prepaid period.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Portugal, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
