Microsoft Teams
Post MeshMarkup feedback into a Microsoft Teams channel: new notes, replies, approvals and new versions, batched so the channel stays readable.
MeshMarkup can post your clients' feedback into a Microsoft Teams channel, so your team hears about it where it already talks. A message arrives when a client leaves notes or replies, signs off a version, when a new version is uploaded, or when a note is resolved. Like the emails, updates are batched: a client working through a model for a few minutes produces one message, with a button that opens the model.
Connect Microsoft Teams
You need to be the studio's owner or an admin.
Open the channel's workflows in Teams
In Microsoft Teams, go to the channel you want feedback in, click ••• next to its name and choose Workflows.
Pick the webhook template
Choose Post to a channel when a webhook request is received. Teams asks which team and channel; confirm them and click Add workflow.
Copy the URL
At the end, Teams shows a URL. Click Copy next to it.
Connect it in MeshMarkup
Open Settings → Integrations, click Connect on the Microsoft Teams card, paste the URL and click Connect.
Look for the test message
MeshMarkup posts MeshMarkup is connected… to the channel before it saves anything. When it arrives, the card says Connected.
Good to know
- Posts come from the workflow, so Teams shows them as sent by whoever created the workflow. If Teams rejects the URL, the card shows Teams' reason; the usual cause is copying only part of the URL.
- Disconnect under the card stops the posts straight away. It works on any plan, so you can switch it off after a downgrade too.
- The webhook URL is stored where only MeshMarkup's server can read it. Nobody can copy it back out of the settings page.
- Want it in Slack as well? Each chat app is connected separately; see email notifications and Slack.
