OmniView 3D alternative: OmniView 3D vs MeshMarkup

Both share 3D models as a link the recipient opens without an account. OmniView 3D also covers embeds and e-commerce; MeshMarkup focuses on client review rounds and sign-off.

2 min readUpdated 19 October 2026

OmniView 3D and MeshMarkup start from the same idea: send a link instead of a CAD file, and the person opening it needs no account and nothing installed. Where they differ is focus. OmniView 3D covers several uses at once: engineering review, the shop floor, after-sales, and 3D on product pages and in online stores, with embeds and display modes for each. MeshMarkup does one job: getting feedback and approval from a client on a 3D model, round after round.

This comparison uses OmniView 3D's public website as of October 2026. Their features and prices can change, so check omniview3d.com for the current details.

When OmniView 3D is the better choice

  • You want 3D on a product page or in a web store, embedded, for customers rather than for one client.
  • You need a format MeshMarkup doesn't read; they list 18.
  • You want its display modes for sales and marketing (its "Hologram" and "Catalog" modes).

When MeshMarkup is the better choice

  • The point of sharing is a decision: the client clicks the spot, you answer, you change it, they approve.
  • The job has several rounds, and you want every open note to follow the model to the next version.
  • You want a record you can point at later: who asked for what, and which version was signed off. See client sign-off and the round report.
  • Price: MeshMarkup's paid plans start at €29 a month, and the free plan doesn't delete your models after a few days.
